Welcome to the new Emerging Parents!
Emerging Parents is a safe place for those involved in the emerging church conversation to explore holistic parenting ideas. We seek to discuss how we can follow Christ as parents, integrating our emerging faith and practices in with how we raise our kids. This is a place to explore, to suggest, to share, to question, and to support. All are welcome (non-parents included!) to join the conversation here.
You are welcome to participate wherever you are at on the “emerging journey.” There are many different streams in the emerging church and none of us approach it exactly the same way. You do not have to accept everything “emerging” or even fully understand what emerging is in order to participate at Emerging Parents. Similarly all are welcome regardless of background. We might strongly disagree with each other at times, but no voice is excluded just because it is “different.” We strive for respectful dialogue at all times and many of have been richly blessed in learning from others from different backgrounds.
We desire to support each other in this journey. Raising kids is tough, figuring out how to do so in ways that affirm what we believe and value can be even harder still. We need this community of friends on the journey to help us along the way. To that end, you are encouraged to join the conversation here. We need to learn from and encourage each other as we navigate what it means to raise children in this emerging postmodern world.
